I strongly believe the American dream of home ownership is very much alive. Buyers, who could not qualify for homes due to skyrocketing prices a few years back, are now thrilled to turn keys to their beautiful new homes with affordable monthly payments due to the low prices and low interest rates of today's real estate market. When we see happy home buyers who thank us for helping them make their very own American dream come true, we love the feeling of joy we share with them over their success.
Cedar City area buyers are not alone in making their real estate dreams come true. I was just glancing at the cover of "Today's Buyer's Rep" December 2011 Publication, and I noticed a very interesting paragraph. Please allow me to quote, "A late-2010 National Association of REALTORS survey found that owning a home is still viewed positively by the vast majority of people in the U. S. Eighty-eight percent of homeowners indicated that owning a home has been a positive experience, whereas only half of renters (51 percent) say the same about their experience. Most homeowners (95 percent) and renters (72 percent) believe that over a period of several years, it makes more sense to own a home than to rent." It is my belief that this survey is accurate today. People love home-ownership. Renters long to have the peace, security and sense of well-being that comes from owning their own home.
