I was just glancing at the cover of "Today's Buyer's Rep" December 2011 Publication, and I noticed a very interesting paragraph. Please allow me to quote, "A late-2010 National Association of REALTORS survey found that owning a home is still viewed positively by the vast majority of people in the U. S. Eighty-eight percent of homeowners indicated that owning a home has been a positive experience, whereas only half of renters (51 percent) say the same about their experience. Most homeowners (95 percent) and renters (72 percent) believe that over a period of several years, it makes more sense to own a home than to rent." It is my belief that this survey is accurate today. People love home-ownership. Renters long to have the peace, security and sense of well-being that comes from owning their own home.

Dare To Dream The Impossible Dream! Apparently, Nothing is Impossible!
Steve Florio of Mortgage Family emailed an article "Field of possibilities" that caught my attention. Let me quote, "Whatever it is you desire to have, to be, or to experience, already exists within the realm of possibility. The more fully you express that desire, the more completely it appears in your life." The above statement requires some thought beyond just reading. I do firmly believe that if you think positively, live courageously, and believe in yourself, dreams do come true. I also believe that it is of the utmost importance to make sure that our positive thoughts are good for us and mankind.
The author, Ralph Marston, goes on to say in his last paragraph, "Whatever you can imagine has already been created in the vast and endless field of possibilities. Think it, speak it, act on it, live it, and let it unfold for all the world to celebrate and enjoy." That is a beautiful statement!
Even in my career of real estate, I notice that some are positive and move forward to make their real estate dreams a reality. I believe they will always be glad they did! The American dream is turning into an affordable reality for many in this real estate market of beautiful homes for sale with little or no down payment, low interest, low prices and low monthly payments.

"Where to Retire?" Would you believe Cedar City, Utah, is the place?
After spending a great Christmas holiday season with family, I glanced over some of the headlines in the newspapers that I hadn't had time to read. Saturday's Daily News headline, "Where to Retire," caught my attention. Under the headine were the words, "National publication names Cedar City as a top retirement town." This news came from the "Where to Retire" magazine's January/February issue.
This is not the first time Cedar City has been named as a top retirement town. The article states, "Mary Lue Abbot, the editor of Where to Retire, said Cedar City's location between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas as well as its cultural qualities are important to retirees."
Mary Lue said that "Cedar City lures retirees with dramatic landscapes of red rock canyons and juniper-studded foothills." She goes on to say, "The town is an ideal spot for active retirees and outdoor lovers."
Having moved here myself approximately 28 years ago, I have to agree that this is the place. Why not live where there is so much to do and so many things to see? Why not live where many people come to play?
