Meet Janet Naisbitt-Bagley

Janet B. Naisbitt-Bagley, PC of ERA Realty Center has been a real estate agent for nearly 26 years and an Associate Broker for nearly 20 of those years!  Known by her clients as a REALTOR® who cares and delighted to help buyers in all price ranges to find their dream homes, Janet followed her father’s footsteps in going into real estate.  She tells us that the reason she choose to pursue a real estate career was because “I believe in the American dream of home ownership!  My father was a Real Estate Broker in Bountiful, Utah.  He taught me that if you give good, hard, honest service, you can make a positive difference in people’s lives with the most important investment of their lives—where they live!  I’m a REALTOR because I care about people, and I love real estate!”  Following her dream, Janet is in the top 2% in the nation for her real estate training including: Associate Broker, ERA Premier Agent, Accredited Buyer Representative-ABR, Certified Residential Specialist-CRS (similar to a PhD only in real estate), ERA Relocation Specialist-ERS, Graduate Real Estate Institute-GRI, ERA Topgun Graduate, ERA Acceleration Training, Certified Property Specialist-CCPS & Certified Residential Marketing Specialist-CCRMS (Partners in Relocation), graduated twice from PHH’s Relocation Training.  Janet is also certified as a Cartus Relocation Representative.  She has received her International Collection Specialist Designation and is trained in marketing luxury homes.  Janet has trained under Barb Schwarz in staging homes.  She is trained in marketing all types of properties as well as residential.

While raising a family, Janet attended University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in the late 1960’s as well as BYU extension classes.   She attended college in Washington and she also took 90 hours at the college in Oregon in Real Estate Law, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Principles & Practices in the 80’s.  She graduated from Spencer/Stringham Real Estate School in 1983 in Utah.  She received her Broker’s license in 1990 also in Utah.  With all of her training and education in Real Estate, Janet has certainly made a name for herself.  She has the national designations of ABR, CRS, GRI, International Collection—Luxury Home Marketing Designation, as well as awards going back to 1984.

• 1984 through present:  One of the top producers in Iron County every year since 1984.
• 1980’s:  She was chosen to train other agents in the Code of Ethics.

• 1991:  Served as President Elect of the Iron County Board of REALTORS.
• 1992:  Served as President of the Iron County Board of REALTORS.

• 1991 through 1993:  Served as a director in the Utah Association of REALTORS.
• 2003 and 1991:  Janet was honored as REALTOR of the year for the Iron County Board of REALTORS twice, which is truly a rarity.

Janet has been chosen to speak at several ERA National Conventions as well as the Beyond Excellence Training for Top Producers to help train other agents.  Janet has her own TV and radio shows and has served in roundtables and as a speaker for several organizations.  She takes advantage of every opportunity to train other agents to be ethical, professional and successful in the real estate profession.  She cares about her clients and her real estate profession.

Janet has lived in Cedar City since 1983 with her husband, Roger Bagley, and has 13 children, 33 grand children with 2 more on the way, and 4 great-grandchildren.  Janet loves living where most people come to play.  “There’s sometime for everyone in our small friendly community!  We have a 4-year university that has been chosen as one of the top 10 in the nation for value for the dollar several years in a row.  Our Shakespeare Festival is world famous and has won the Tony Award.  We have sports, hunting, fishing, summer games, hiking, rock climbing, arts, concerts, plays, national parks, skiing, golfing, water skiing, festivals, parks, trails, biking, incredible sunsets, breathtaking views, mountains, parks, carnivals, delicious restaurants, theaters, water slide, swimming, reservoir and much more.  There is so much to do!  It feels good here!  People smile and say hi!”  Her family loves hiking in the beautiful, awe-inspiring Zions Canyon and visiting Bryce Canyon, Kolob and Cedar Breaks.  They enjoy the walking trails, sunsets, hiking, plays and the many activities available in the friendly community of Cedar City and surrounding areas.

According to Janet, the most challenging part of buying or selling in today’s market is “to appreciate the market we are in while we are in it because there are positives and negatives in every market…. You must learn to enjoy where you are while you are there.  Look for the best in every market, and you’ll find it.”  Janet offers this piece of advice for first-time homebuyers: “Find a REALTOR with a licensed team who is knowledgeable, experienced, trained and who cares.  Also, get pre-qualified with a good lender with the right loan program for the buyer’s needs.   Your REALTOR can give you a list of good lenders from which to choose.”  She tells us that it is a great time to buy in Cedar City because interest rates and sales prices are both low at the same time, and there is a large selection of attractive homes in all price ranges from which to choose.
